Job Description

We are seeking a Senior AI Technical Consultant / Technical Architect to join our team to support a significant business application transformation program. This position will require you to drive the establishment of enterprise scale microservices and event driven architecture capabilities while embedding AI-enabled engineering practices across the software delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide technical leadership for the design and governance of cloud-native, microservices and event-driven architectures.
n
- Drive the adoption of modern engineering practices, including DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing and observability.
n
- Lead the integration of AI-enabled capabilities across the software development lifecycle.
n
- Guide engineering teams in implementing scalable, resilient and secure enterprise platforms.
n
- Influence architecture decisions and technology roadmaps across large transformation programs.
n
- Establish reusable architecture patterns, standards and engineering governance frameworks.
n
- Support capability uplift through mentoring, coaching and knowledge transfer.
n
- Engage with senior stakeholders and executives to translate business objectives into technology solutions.

About You

You are a highly experienced Architect, Principal Engineer or Technical Lead with a proven track record delivering enterprise-scale modernisation initiatives.

n

Essential Experience

- Cloud-native architecture design and implementation.
n




- Enterprise microservices and event-driven architecture.
n
- Large-scale Azure environments and cloud transformation programs.
n
- AI engineering, machine learning, semantic search or enterprise AI solutions.
n
- DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines and platform engineering practices.
n
- Architecture governance, security-by-design and engineering excellence.
n
- Leading multidisciplinary teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
n
- Driving technology modernisation and organisational capability uplift.
n

Highly Desirable

- Kubernetes and container platforms (AKS, OpenShift, EKS or GKE).
n
- Platform engineering and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

- Observability and enterprise automation practices.

- Experience implementing AI and Generative AI solutions using modern cloud platforms.

- Federal Government or large enterprise experience.
