About the Role
n
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Trainer & Assessor to join our team in Hobart, Tasmania.
n
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified VET professional with current industry experience in Aged Care, Individual Support, Community Services and/or Early Childhood Education & Care who is passionate about supporting learners to achieve their career goals.
n
You will be responsible for delivering engaging, practical and compliant training and assessment to students in a supportive learning environment.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Deliver high-quality training and assessment in accordance with the relevant training package and RTO policies.
n
- Facilitate engaging classroom, workplace and/or blended learning.
n
- Assess students fairly, consistently and in accordance with assessment requirements.
n
- Provide constructive feedback and learner support.
n
- Maintain accurate training and assessment records.
n
- Participate in validation and continuous improvement activities.
n
- Liaise with employers, students and workplace supervisors where required.
n
- Ensure training and assessment activities comply with relevant regulatory and quality requirements.
n
n
Qualifications & Experience
n
Essential
n
n
- Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116,
TAE40110 or equivalent/approved successor), or an appropriate higher-level VET/adult education qualification.
n
- Current and relevant industry experience and vocational competency in at least one of the following areas: Aged Care / Individual Support / Community Services, and/or Early Childhood Education & Care.
n
- Sound understanding of competency-based training and assessment.
n
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
- Current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People (RWVP) registration, where applicable.
n
- Current driver's licence.
n
n
Desirable
n
n
- Experience delivering CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support.
n
- Experience delivering CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and/or CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
n
- Experience working within an RTO environment.
n
- Knowledge of the Standards for RTOs 2025 and current VET compliance requirements.
n
- Previous experience supporting learners from diverse backgrounds.
n
