We are seeking a Compliance & Assurance Advisor to join an established Australian organisation operating within the transport and heavy vehicle sector.

Reporting to the Compliance & Quality Manager, this is a broad, hands-on role supporting the organisation's compliance, quality assurance, internal audit, document management and accreditation frameworks.

The position would suit someone with experience across quality, compliance or internal auditing who enjoys working closely with operational teams and taking ownership of ongoing assurance activities.

The Role
n
You will support the effective implementation and ongoing maintenance of the organisation's compliance and quality frameworks, with responsibilities including:
n
n
- Conducting internal compliance and quality audits in line with the annual audit program.
n
- Supporting the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) and ongoing ISO 9001.
n
- Supporting preparation for external ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 audits.
n
- Monitoring compliance obligations and working with operational leaders to ensure required activities are completed.
n
- Recording and tracking audit findings, corrective actions and improvement opportunities.
n
- Supporting the administration and ongoing maintenance of the organisation's Controlled Document Management System.
n
- Supporting preparation for external heavy vehicle accreditation audits and coordinating required evidence and documentation.
n
- Providing guidance to managers and employees on compliance,
quality and document-control requirements.
n
- Monitoring outstanding compliance, audit and quality actions and providing relevant reporting.
n
- Supporting annual Modern Slavery reporting and supplier compliance documentation.
n
- Identifying opportunities to improve compliance, quality and broader business processes.
n

About You
n
To be successful, you will ideally bring:
n
n
- 3-7+ years' experience within quality, compliance, auditing or a related discipline.
n
- Good working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
n
- Previous internal auditing experience.
n
- Experience working with compliance systems and programs.
n
- Knowledge of document control and electronic document management systems.
n
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow actions through to completion.
n
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with operational leaders and employees.
n
- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience.
n
- Internal Quality Auditor training, preferably aligned to ISO 9001
