Job Description

We are seeking an experinced Defects Foreman to join a well-established residential construction team delivering high-quality Class 2 residential projects across Sydney.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Foreman who has a strong eye for detail, understands residential construction and is confident managing defects through to completion.

n

The Role You will be responsible for managing the defects and remedial process across a Class 2 residential project, working closely with site teams, subcontractors, consultants and the wider project team to ensure all defects are identified, rectified and closed out efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

n

- Managing defects and rectification works across Class 2 residential projects
n
- Conducting detailed inspections and identifying construction defects
n
- Coordinating and supervising subcontractors through the rectification process
n
- Managing defect lists, priorities and close-out timeframes
n
- Ensuring works are completed to a high standard and in accordance with project requirements
n
- Working closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager
n




- Maintaining solid relationships with subcontractors and trades
n
- Assisting with final inspections, handovers and project close-out
n
- Ensuring a high level of finish and presentation across the project
n

About You We are looking for someone with:

- Proven experience as a Foreman within Class 2 residential construction
n
- Strong defects and finishing experience
n
- Excellent knowledge of residential construction processes and standards
n
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
n
- Strong subcontractor and trade management skills
n
- Excellent attention to detail
n
- Strong communication and organisational skills
n
- A hands-on approach and the ability to work autonomously
n
- Relevant construction qualifications/licences
n
