- Develop and deliver strategic initiatives, frameworks and collaborative mechanisms strengthening UQ's inter- and transdisciplinary research programs
n
- Enhance the quality, scale, diversity and impact of the University's research portfolio
n
- Diversify and strengthen UQ's participation in national and international research and innovation ecosystems, including Horizon Europe
n
- Facilitate strategic partnerships and collaborative networks across academia, industry, government, philanthropy and international organisations
n
- Identify and enable opportunities for large-scale collaborative research programs
n
- Support researchers to build consortia, develop partnerships and pursue ambitious research agendas
n
- Provide expert leadership, capability building, strategic advice and project delivery support
n
- Strengthen research outcomes, impact, knowledge exchange and institutional performance
n
- Work with faculties, institutes, research teams, researchers, partners, philanthropic organisations and international collaborators
n

Requirements

n

n
- A postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of extensive experience, education and training
n
- Demonstrated success leading complex strategic initiatives, collaborative programs or major projects in a research, higher education, government or related environment
n
- Proven experience developing and delivering major funding proposals, business cases, investment opportunities or strategic initiatives that secure organisational outcomes, resources, investment or external engagement
n
- Strong knowledge of the Australian research and innovation sector
n
- Experience navigating international research funding landscapes and collaborative funding mechanisms
n
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement,



relationship management and influencing skills
n
- Exceptional written communication, strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
n
- Experience with Horizon Europe or comparable international research funding programs will be viewed favourably
n
- Experience supporting, developing or participating in Horizon Europe or other major multinational research funding programs is desirable
n
