Assistant Manager - The Veneto Club - Bulleen

The Veneto Club Melbourne is one of the largest Italian clubs in Victoria, located on Bulleen Road just off the Eastern Freeway.

Established over 50 years ago, the Club is an award-winning, multi-outlet hospitality venue known for great food, events, entertainment and sport.

n

We have an exciting chance for an Assistant Manager to join the Veneto Club family. This is a key role supporting the day-to-day operations across the bistro, gaming, bar and events.

n

The Role

n

We're all about delivering great food and beverage in a fun, club-style environment - with personality, pace and professionalism.

In this role, you will:

n

Take responsibility for the smooth running of the Club during your rostered shifts

n

Support and supervise the bar, bistro, gaming and functions teams

n

Oversee gaming operations, ensuring compliance and a strong member experience

n

Assist with the planning, set-up and delivery of functions and events, ensuring they run smoothly and deliver a great experience for members and guests.

n

Help manage rosters, staffing levels and day-to-day operational requirements

n

Train, mentor and develop staff, creating a positive and supportive team environment

n

Ensure high standards of service, presentation, cleanliness and venue security

n

Manage customer and member enquiries and complaints in a professional and friendly manner

n

You'll be hands-on, visible on the floor,



and comfortable jumping between different areas depending on what the business needs.

The Successful Candidate

n

We're looking for a true hospo natural. Someone with an easy, confident style who knows how to run a shift, lead a team and keep things moving.

n

You will have:

n

Solid experience in bistro, bar and/or broader hospitality operations

n

A hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop staff

n

Strong communication skills and a calm approach under pressure

n

Good organisational skills and attention to detail

n

A genuine focus on guest experience and team culture

n

An understanding of workplace safety, compliance and operational procedures

n

This role has a strong gaming supervisory component, so you will also bring:

n

Previous exposure to gaming operations or a willingness to learn quickly

n

Understanding of compliance, procedures and responsible service requirements

n

The ability to balance compliance with a great customer experience

n

Current gaming/RSG qualifications and Victorian Gaming Licence or the ability to obtain these
