Site Manager | Major Civil Infrastructure Project

The Opportunity
n
We're representing a leading civil contractor delivering one of Western Sydney's largest and most complex greenfield infrastructure developments.
n
This is a long-term opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of a major civil works package comprising bulk earthworks, road construction, drainage, utilities, intersections and public domain infrastructure. With a strong pipeline of secured work, this role offers genuine stability and the prospect to leave a lasting legacy on a landmark project.

This position would particularly suit an experienced Site Manager who enjoys building high-performing teams, mentoring younger engineers and supervisors, and taking ownership of large, technically challenging projects.
n
The Role
n
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the protected, efficient and successful delivery of site operations.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Leading all day-to-day site operations across multiple construction fronts
n
- Managing Site Supervisors, Project Engineers and subcontractors
n
- Driving construction programs to ensure milestones are achieved safely and on schedule
n
- Overseeing bulk earthworks, roadworks, drainage, utilities, retaining structures and associated civil infrastructure
n
- Coordinating plant, labour, materials and subcontractor performance
n
- Managing site logistics and sequencing to maximise productivity
n
- Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and environmental compliance
n
- Working closely with the commercial and project management teams to identify risks and resolve delivery challenges
n
- Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, authorities and key stakeholders
n
n
About You
n
You are a highly respected civil construction leader with extensive experience delivering major infrastructure projects.
n
You'll ideally possess:
n
n
- 20+ years' experience within Australian civil construction
n
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on large-scale civil infrastructure or subdivision projects
n
- Strong background managing complex earthworks, roads, drainage and utility packages
n
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor experienced site teams
n
- Strong planning and organisational capability
n
- Commercial awareness and the ability to balance program, quality and cost outcomes
n
- A practical, solutions-focused approach and calm leadership style
n
- Stable employment history with reputable Tier 1, Tier 2 or specialist civil contractors
n
n
