About the Role
The Board and Administration Support Officer works with the Dogand Cat Management Board and the Dog and Cat Management Unit toprovide an efficient, effective and high-quality secretarial andadministrative support service.
Key duties include providing quality customer service functions,providing accurate information and advice to management, customersand key stakeholders regarding dog and cat management matters,policy and legislation, undertaking of records management for theDog and Cat Management Board, research projects, supporting financeand contract management, and general administrative tasks.

Contract: Term Contract up to June 2027.
Essential Criteria (including qualifications)
- Demonstrated ability to use common sense and pastexperiences to approach problems and provide options to theirmanager for resolving the issue.
- Proven ability to accurately, clearly and concisely composedocuments such as letters, memos and record minutes.
- Proven ability to review and check own work for accuracy,spelling, and formatting in line with the expectedstandards.
- Demonstrated ability to convey services and purpose of workarea to internal and external customers in a clear andrespectful manner.
- Demonstrated ability to relate confidently to people at alllevels in an organisation and work with networks to get thingsdone.
- Proven ability to use Microsoft Suite software applicationsto effectively perform daily work.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of secretarialservices including, minute taking and operating effectively inhigh level meetings.
- A current class “C” driver’s licence is essential.
Special Conditions
- May be required to participate in responses to stateemergencies or associated duties.
- You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, orprovide evidence that you hold a valid working visa that allowsyou to work in Australia without restrictions.
- May be required to undertake intra or interstate travel,occasional overnight absences, and work outside of the normalhours of work.
- This role requires candidates to provide a NationallyCoordinated Criminal History Check which must be renewed everythree years before expiry. DEW will cover the cost ofrenewal.
A successful applicant who is notcurrently employed by the Department will need to have an originalphoto identification document sighted, and to provide a validNationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) issued withinthe last 12 months, before a recommendation for employment can bemade. Shortlisted candidates may have their identity documentsighted at interview.
Remuneration
ASO3 -$74,095 min - $78,694max p.a., pro rata for part time hours.
