DIALOG Fitzroy Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Piping Designer to join our Engineering team in Brisbane. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across the oil & gas, heavy industrial, dairy, energy, and manufacturing sectors, delivering practical, innovative, and high-quality engineering solutions for our clients.

This role is primarily office-based in Brisbane.

n

As a Senior Piping Designer, you will play a key role in producing detailed engineering designs, conducting site surveys, mentoring junior designers, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

About the Role

n

You will be responsible for:

n

n
- Producing high-quality mechanical and piping designs and deliverables.
n
- Conducting site surveys and as-built dimensional assessments.
n
- Ensuring operational, maintenance, safety, and compliance requirements are incorporated into designs.
n
- Developing cost-effective, fit-for-purpose engineering solutions that add value to our clients.
n
- Applying industry codes, standards, legislative requirements, and client specifications.
n
- Working closely with clients, operations personnel, engineers, vendors, and project teams.
n
- Supporting business development opportunities and maintaining strong client relationships.
n
- Mentoring and providing guidance to intermediate and junior designers.

- Promoting and maintaining DIALOG Fitzroy's commitment to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental excellence.

What We're Looking For

n

n
- Tertiary qualification (Diploma or Certificate) in Mechanical Engineering Design or related discipline, and 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
n
- Minimum 10 years' design experience in:n n
- Oil & Gas
n
- Heavy Industry
n
- Dairy
n
- Pharmaceutical sectors
n

n
- Advanced proficiency with:n

n
- AutoCAD Plant 3D (2018 or later)
n
- AutoCAD (2018 or later)
n
- Autodesk ReCap
n

n
- Strong understanding of:n

n
- Site surveys and as-built dimensional recording
n
- Mechanical and piping design principles
n
- AS/NZS Codes and Standards
n
- Engineering drawing production and documentation requirements
n

n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
n
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
n
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
n
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
n
- A proactive approach with a commitment to continuous improvement and safety leadership.
n
- Previous experience mentoring or leading junior design personnel.
n
- Experience working within multidiscipline engineering project environments.
