Job Description

We are looking for a passionate leader to join our Melbourne team as a Credit Manager. The National Credit Manager role is a critical role for Australian operations. Initially the role will require a lot of hands‐on work, improving credit collection processes, leading and developing the credit team, managing risk exposures and working collaboratively with the rest of the business. Your leadership will prove vital to the team as we navigate our diverse customer base ranging from corporate to sole traders. n Key responsibilities

n

Lead the Credit Team through a stage of growth, helping to develop systems, processes, and policies to support team and customer growth

n

Team leadership around annual reviews, team culture, general support

n

Take personal responsibility for continually learning and growing to be a leader in your field of expertise

n

Ultimate responsibility for the performance of the Credit team, and the growth and learning of the team around continuous and personal improvement

n

Work closely with key members of the TR team around collections, new accounts, and risk exposures

n

Understand the bigger picture thinking, balancing the sensitive nature of short‐term decisions vs long term consequences relating to customers and team

n

Work closely with the Credit Controllers on credit escalation processes including monitoring customer accounts that may need further action

n

Ensure that the team work collaboratively with the Credit Risk Manager on the customer account application process

n

Perform monthly Management and Board reporting on Credit performance and weekly credit reporting to the branches and sales team

n

Develop Credit strategies to improve TR's credit risk exposure and cashflow

n





About you

n

Credit experience – 5+ years both performing Credit collections and managing accounts of concern

n

Experience leading and running a Credit team

n

Strong leadership skills and experience growing and improving credit teams

n

Credit lending experience would be ideal but is not a must

n

Have the judgement to balance taking a collaborative approach to decision making with the need, at times, to hold your ground on what you think is right

n

Financially and commercially smart with the ability to dissect information in order to understand what is really happening

n

Adaptable and adaptable to changes in the volumes of work across different areas of responsibility

n

A Tertiary financial qualification and / or substantial financial experience gained over time in a similar role

n

Proficient level of computer Excel and system skills

n

Organised and excellent attention to detail
