AI & Automation Engineering Intern (Closed-Loop EIT Feedback) — Zero-X — Canggu, Bali

Zero-X · On-site, Canggu, Bali · 4–6 months

What does it take to read a noisy electrical impedance signal off a living body in real time — and close the loop on-device before the moment passes?

This is an AI & Automation Engineering Intern working on the on-device inference loop for Zero-X's closed-loop EIT feedback device for female sexual health. Zero-X is an operating company turning AI into clean power and real-world sensing systems. You leave with real execution experience and the proof employers hire on: a thing you made that nobody asked you to make. You become an expert in closed-loop on-device inference. Everyone has a degree. Almost nobody has proof.

What you build

You build the on-device inference loop that reads EIT impedance frames and decides when to adjust feedback. You work on the EIT acquisition board bring-up and the calibration fixture so the sensor reads a known body under known impedance. The closed-loop controller that turns inference output into a safe feedback command is on the hook for edge cases: electrode lift-off, motion artifact, saturation.

The validation rig that replays recorded EIT traces and measures loop latency is the proof the loop works before it touches a person.

The bar An EIT acquisition device made outside coursework, with the failure mode under electrode motion named, is already on your bench.

A trained on-device inference model with the latency budget and dropout behavior written down is something you can hand to a peer.

You have kept a hard real-time loop on the table until the output was safe and repeatable.

A test rig someone else can run without you in the room is part of what you bring.

Who this is for

You work until the loop is clean. You keep the feedback honest when the sensor lies. Two years from now, can you point to the device and say you made it safer?

Where you do it — and why here

Thirty years building companies — New York, London, Tokyo, the Valley — and then it stopped mattering where the work happened. So the program runs on-site in Canggu, Bali. A up-to-date company costs twelve people and a toolchain — so being wrong six times a year is part of how we work.

The campus is 4,000 sqm, and the people who run the companies are on it every day. Epic Solutions PT runs the on-site program in Canggu, Bali. What this location buys is attention, not a view. Monday reset, Friday ship — send what you made.

Terms

Unpaid under Indonesian law. A room is available on campus — rent paid by you. Epic Solutions PT hosts the on-site program and assists with the C22B internship visa process; the visa fee is yours. Daily lunch on us. Starting October. Questions about the fit or the timeline? Tell us — we'll talk you through how the program actually runs.

Requirements A degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent — you have proven you can finish something. You drive Claude Code, Hermes, or Codex every day and catch what the AI gets wrong before the loop ships. A thing you made that nobody asked you to make. Four to six months on-site.

How to apply

Apply via the LinkedIn application field. Submit your CV and the repository.

A finished CV was never the point. What counts is a thing you've built and the drive to build the next one. That is who we are looking for.
