This is a senior, hands-on position with responsibility for managing and reviewing complex transactions across the mid to upper-mid market. You will take ownership of credit quality and transaction execution while providing guidance and oversight to junior team members.

The role would suit an experienced corporate or institutional banking professional who combines robust credit judgement with the ability to manage multiple live mandates and engage confidently with senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

- Take ownership of complex transactions from initial assessment through credit approval, documentation and settlement
- Prepare and review detailed commercial credit papers, financial analysis and transaction recommendations
- Assess transaction structures, borrower capacity, key risks, mitigants and commercial considerations
- Ensure transactions meet the organisation’s credit standards and risk appetite
- Manage multiple mandates concurrently while maintaining quality and meeting transaction deadlines
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, clients and external advisers throughout the deal-execution process
- Provide oversight, coaching and technical guidance to junior team members

About you





- At least seven years’ experience within a corporate, institutional or complex commercial lending environment
- Demonstrated experience writing and reviewing large, complex commercial credit submissions
- Strong understanding of credit analysis, financial modelling, transaction structuring and risk assessment
- Experience managing transactions through the full deal-execution lifecycle
- Proven ability to manage multiple mandates in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Sound commercial judgement and the confidence to challenge assumptions and influence transaction outcomes
- Strong stakeholder-management and written communication skills
- Previous experience mentoring or reviewing the work of junior team members
- Exposure to property, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure or other specialised lending sectors will be well regarded
