Position: Technical Solution Owner- Atlassian Cloud Migration
- Own the technical solution design and architecture for migrating Jira and Confluence from Data Center/Server to Atlassian Cloud.
- Define and enforce a security-first migration strategy covering data classification, access controls, encryption, and residency requirements.
- Lead the implementation of Atlassian Guard (Enterprise) capabilities — including data security policies, data classification, DLP, and security controls — to prevent PII from being stored in Confluence and Jira.
- Conduct PII discovery, remediation, and validation across Confluence spaces and Jira projects prior to and during migration.
- Design and configure identity, SSO, SCIM provisioning, and access governance within the Atlassian Cloud estate.
- Assess and remediate third-party app/marketplace dependencies for cloud compatibility and security posture.
- Partner with security, compliance, and data privacy stakeholders to align the solution with organisational and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, data protection obligations).
- Produce solution design documentation, migration runbooks, risk assessments, and handover materials.
- Provide technical leadership and direction to migration engineers and delivery teams throughout the engagement.
- Manage cutover planning, testing, validation, and post-migration security assurance.
Must Have Skills
Proven experience as a technical solution owner/architect on at least one large-scale Atlassian Cloud migration.
- Deep hands-on expertise with Jira and Confluence administration and cloud migration tooling (e.g., Jira Cloud Migration Assistant, Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant).
- Demonstrable experience implementing Atlassian Guard / Atlassian Guard Enterprise (formerly Atlassian Access / Beacon) security solutions.
- Robust track record of PII/sensitive-data discovery and remediation within Atlassian applications.
- Solid understanding of data security controls: DLP, data classification, data residency, encryption, and audit logging.
- Experience with identity and access management (SSO/SAML, SCIM, IdPs such as Okta, Entra ID/Azure AD).
- Familiarity with data privacy and compliance frameworks (GDPR and similar).
- Excellent stakeholder management, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver within a compressed two-month timeline.
Nice to have Skills
• Life cycle of Incidents associated with EUC equipment and EUC software, and provide break/fix support, advice, and assistance to Authorized Users.
- Incident handling (P1/P2 issues) and Proxy clustering and Slow browsing issues, URL filtering (block/allow websites)
- Coordinate with Customers’ vendors for provision of end-user support (e.g., Hardware Vendor technicians for warranty repair/replacement
- Replace equipment and/or software in order to conduct a repair, support the Authorized User by copying data, performing backups and restoring data and backups to the replacement EUC device
- Operational support for certified Network Printers / Scanners / MFPs / Plotters / Label Printers / Tag Printers using proxy network
- Loading/Reloading of PCs with Customer standard image for deployment.
- operational support for disaster recovery and BCP emergency response activities in the event of emergency situations and annual testing requirements at local sites
