Position Overview

Due to continued growth and the successful expansion of our product portfolio, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to support the ongoing development of Allison’s range of EvoMAX Helical and Bevel-Helical Gearboxes .

Job Responsibilities

- Ensuring area budgets are achieved, including total sales & gross margin with a strong focus towards Industrial Helical and Bevel Helical Gear units and systems.
- Identifying new business opportunities for Helical and Bevel Helical Gear Units and Systems especially within allocated areas.
- Preparing quotations & proposals, and making offers to customers which includes specifying products, sourcing specialists’ products, liaising with other departments and suppliers to determine lead times
- Preparing sales and market reports as required by the National Sales Manager
- Supporting the National Sales Manager as required
- Maintaining Proper customer records and information in Microsoft Dynamics BC and Salesforce
- Implement the requirements of the Allison SAC Management System and policies (including the Quality Policy, OHS etc), and participating in continual improvement of the system
- Incumbents of all positions are required to execute such additional tasks as may be reasonable and within their expected or potential capability where appropriately directed by management

Required skills and Experience

- Demonstrated ability to work towards and achieve established sales budgets, revenue targets, and growth objectives.

- Proven experience in technical sales, preferably within the Mechanical Power Transmission industry.





- Demonstrated success in identifying customer requirements and providing technically appropriate product solutions based on operating and application parameters.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand, interpret, and communicate technical information effectively.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-focused approach to building and maintaining professional relationships.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

- Experience using Salesforce CRM or a similar customer relationship management platform.

- Robust organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and customer enquiries.

- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.

Education

- Formal tertiary qualifications (degree, diploma, or similar) are not mandatory. Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate a successful track record in technical sales within the Mechanical Power Transmission industry or a closely related field, supported by relevant industry knowledge and practical experience.
