Role DescriptionA Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and transforming business data into meaningful insights to support strategic decision-making. The role works with management and cross-functional teams to develop reports, dashboards, performance metrics, and data-driven recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, integrate, and analyze data from multiple business sources.
- Develop and maintain business intelligence reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Analyze business performance, trends, customer behavior, revenue, and operational data.
- Translate business requirements into meaningful data analysis and reporting solutions.
- Identify trends, opportunities, risks, and performance gaps through data analysis.
- Prepare regular management reports and executive-level performance summaries.
- Design and maintain interactive dashboards using BI tools.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and reliability.
- Clean, validate, and organize datasets for analysis and reporting.
- Work with business, finance, sales, marketing, operations, and IT teams.
- Develop KPIs and performance measurement frameworks.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to support business planning and decision-making.
- Monitor data quality and investigate discrepancies or unusual results.
- Recommend process, operational, and commercial improvements based on data insights.
- Support forecasting, budgeting, planning, and strategic business initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in business intelligence, data analysis, reporting, or analytics.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, formulas, and data analysis.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar BI platforms.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with databases.
- Understanding of data modeling, data visualization, and reporting concepts.
- Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Solid communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple analytical projects and deadlines.
