WHO WE ARE

Founded in 2013 as Scape Australia, leaders in student housing, we've since grown into a vertically integrated living platform known as The Living Company; managing $17B in assets across Student Living (Scape), Rent to Live – Affordable Housing (RTL Co.), and Retirement Living (Aveo); spanning site origination, investment, planning, design, development, construction, and operations.

The Living

Company is reshaping the way Australians live by delivering sustainable, community-driven, and high-quality spaces across the country.

THE ROLE

As our Business Systems Lead – Enterprise Applications, you'll shape how our people and workforce platforms operate across TLC, with Dayforce at the heart of the role. You’ll join at an exciting point in our transformation, helping consolidate legacy platforms across Aveo and Scape onto a single Dayforce instance. Working closely with implementation partners and internal teams, you’ll be hands-on throughout the project – from design and data migration through to testing and training.

Once live, you’ll drive platform stability, simplification and automation while shaping its future roadmap. Over time, there will also be the prospect to expand your remit across adjacent platforms as TLC continues to grow.

In this role, you’ll:

- Partner with our implementation partners and People teams across Aveo and Scape to deliver the consolidation of HR, payroll and workforce management onto a single Dayforce platform.
- Configure and implement Dayforce hands-on across the full project lifecycle, including solution design, data migration, testing, cutover and training.
- Lead the transition away from the legacy payroll and workforce management platforms being replaced, ensuring a controlled and effective decommissioning process.
- Take ownership of the ongoing health, configuration, support and roadmap of Dayforce and other People Technology platforms.

- Partner with HR and business leaders to identify opportunities to simplify, improve and automate processes across the employee lifecycle.
- Manage relationships with Dayforce and other technology vendors, ensuring agreed scope, quality and service levels are delivered.
- Own user access and security across People platforms, including provisioning, role design, segregation of duties and periodic access reviews.
- Build strong relationships across HR, Payroll, Care and operational teams, while representing People Technology in relevant enterprise technology and architecture discussions.
- Act as the escalation point for complex system issues, taking ownership from investigation through to resolution.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

You might come from an HR, People Technology or IT background, with experience working across HRIS, payroll or workforce management systems. You’ll ideally have:

- 5+ years’ hands-on experience configuring and supporting an HR, payroll or workforce management platform, ideally Dayforce or another enterprise platform
- Strong understanding of HR and payroll processes across the employee lifecycle, with the ability to translate those processes into effective system solutions.
- Strong business analysis skills, with the ability to draw requirements from non-technical stakeholders and turn them into clear, testable outcomes.
- Experience delivering technology projects alongside implementation partners across solution design, data migration, testing, cutover and training.
- An understanding of application controls, including user access, security roles, segregation of duties and controlled change from testing through to production.

- Robust communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility across both People and Technology teams.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to get into the detail when required, while keeping sight of the bigger picture.

WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN?

- Be part of a major transformation, helping bring two of TLC’s largest businesses onto a single Dayforce platform.
- Own the platform beyond implementation, with the autonomy to shape its roadmap, simplify processes and identify opportunities for automation and improvement.
- Work across a diverse organisation, partnering with People, Payroll, Care, Operations and Technology teams across Aveo, Scape and RTL Co.
- Make a visible impact, with the opportunity to influence how thousands of employees interact with our people systems.
- Grow your remit over time, with the opportunity to expand into adjacent People Technology platforms as TLC continues to evolve.
- Be part of a purpose-led organisation that is reshaping how Australians live.
- Enjoy a range of health and wellbeing benefits, including paid leave days, health insurance, retail and leisure discounts, annual vaccinations, skin checks, employee referral programs and employee assistance programs.
