Boilermaker / Welder – Full-Time Melbourne Northern Suburbs | Permanent Full time | Overtime Available

TRS Resourcing is seeking a Trade-Qualified Boilermaker / Welder for a permanent opportunity with an established engineering and manufacturing business in Melbourne's northern suburbs.

n

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fabricator looking for stable, long-term employment, interesting fabrication work and the opportunity to further develop their skills within a professional workshop environment.

The Role

n

Working as part of an experienced fabrication team, you will be involved in the manufacture and assembly of custom-built heavy industrial equipment and fabricated components.

n

Your Responsibilities Will Include

n

n
- Fabrication and welding of mild steel components
n
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
n
- Measuring, marking out and preparing materials
n
- Cutting, bending, forming and shaping steel
n
- Fit-up and assembly of fabricated components
n
- MIG welding and general fabrication duties
n
- Operating workshop machinery, power tools and hand tools
n
- Checking completed work for quality and accuracy
n
- Working safely within a busy manufacturing environment
n

About You

n

We are interested in hearing from Boilermakers, Welders and Fabricators with experience across manufacturing, transport equipment, structural steel, heavy fabrication, industrial equipment or similar environments.

n

Ideally, You Will Have

n

n




- Australian-recognised trade qualification in Boilermaking, Fabrication or a related trade
n
- Strong MIG welding and fabrication skills
n
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
n
- Experience working with mild steel
n
- Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
n
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
n
- Ability to work effectively within a team
n
- Australian working rights
n

n

Experience with aluminium fabrication or welding will be highly regarded but is not essential.

n

Additional tickets such as a Forklift Licence or Confined Space ticket would also be advantageous.
