Job Description
Reporting into the Financial Controller, the successful Accounts & Payroll Officer will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day finance function, ensuring the accurate processing of accounts and payroll while maintaining strong financial controls and compliance standards.Key responsibilities include:
- Processing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions.
- Managing invoice processing, banking activities and credit card reconciliations.
- Supporting weekly payroll processing, including employee changes, leave administration and payroll-related queries.
- Processing staff reimbursements, allowances and mileage claims.
- Performing account reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Assisting with general ledger maintenance and investigating discrepancies where required.
- Supporting compliance, statutory reporting and regulatory obligations.
- Assisting with month-end processes and financial reporting activities.
- Maintaining accurate employee and financial records in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Providing finance administration support to internal stakeholders and the wider finance team.
The Successful Applicant
The Successful Accounts & Finance Officer Will Have:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Officer, Finance Officer or Payroll Officer role.
- Strong Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and payroll processing experience.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-focused approach.
- Experience within a not-for-profit, community-focused or values-driven organisation will be highly regarded.
