ABOUT THE ROLE
As our HR Manager, you will oversee the full employee lifecycle and provide trusted HR support to management and employees across the organisation.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective HR strategies, policies and processes that support Medical Rescue's operational requirements, business objectives and continued growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• People & Recruitment: Manage the full employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, recruitment, selection, onboarding, employee engagement and retention.
• Employee Relations & Performance: Provide HR advice to managers and employees, manage workplace relations, grievances and performance matters, and support a positive and professional workplace culture.
• HR Strategy, Policies & Compliance: Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures and employment documentation while ensuring compliance with Australian employment legislation, awards and workplace requirements.
• Training & Development: Identify training needs, support employee development and leadership initiatives, and contribute to succession planning and talent management.
• HR Systems & Technology: Manage and optimise HR systems including BambooHR, Deputy and Monday.com, maintain accurate employee records, and utilise AI tools and technology to streamline HR processes, improve efficiency and enhance the employee experience.
• Health, Safety & Wellbeing: Support workplace health, safety and wellbeing initiatives and work collaboratively with management to maintain a safe, supportive and productive workplace.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for an experienced HR professional who is confident working autonomously, can build strong relationships across all levels of an organisation and is comfortable working in a agile operational environment.
You will ideally have:
• Demonstrated experience in an HR Manager or senior HR role.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, awards and HR best practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership, decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven experience managing employee relations, performance management and workplace matters.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• High attention to detail and a strong commitment to confidentiality.
• Experience managing recruitment and employee onboarding processes.
• Experience developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
• Proficiency in BambooHR or similar HRIS platforms.
• Proficiency in Monday.com or similar workflow/project management platforms.
• Strong practical knowledge and confidence using AI tools to improve HR processes, productivity and decision-making.
• Strong Microsoft Office and digital literacy skills.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work effectively with both operational and corporate teams.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Employment Relations or a related discipline are desirable.
• HR professional accreditation or certification will be highly regarded.
