Mini Masterminds Hamlyn Terrace is opening soon, and we are building our team from the ground up!
We are looking for passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic early childhood professionals to join our brand-new, purpose-built centre in Hamlyn Terrace (120-place centre).
We are currently seeking expressions of interest for a range of positions, including:
- Assistant Director (AD)
- Educational Leader (EL)
- Room Leaders (RL)
- Diploma & Certificate III Assistant Educators
- Trainee Educators

About the Opportunity
As part of our new Hamlyn Terrace team, you will have the opportunity to help shape the centre from day one.
You will work alongside a passionate leadership team and educators to establish high-quality education and care practices, develop engaging learning environments and create a welcoming community for children and families.

Roles Available:
Assistant Director
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Director to support the Centre Director with the day-to-day operation of the service.
You will:
- Support the Centre Director in leading the centre and team
- Assist with the day-to-day management and operations of the service
- Support compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standards (NQS) and relevant legislation
- Build strong relationships with children, families and educators
- Support staff development, performance and mentoring
- Assist in creating a positive and collaborative centre culture
- Step into the Centre Director role when required
Educational Leader
We are seeking a passionate Educational Leader to drive high-quality educational practice across the centre.
You will:
- Lead and support the development and implementation of high-quality educational programs
- Mentor and guide educators in their understanding and implementation of the EYLF
- Support educators with observations, documentation, planning and reflective practice
- Promote continuous improvement and high-quality teaching practices
- Work collaboratively with the leadership team to establish strong educational practices from the beginning
- Support compliance with the NQF, NQS and relevant legislation
Room Leaders
We are looking for passionate and experienced Room Leaders to lead rooms across the centre.
You will:
- Lead your room and support your team to provide high-quality education and care
- Plan and implement engaging, play-based learning experiences
- Build meaningful relationships with children and families
- Mentor and support educators within your room
- Observe and document children's learning and development
- Create a protected, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with the Educational Leader and wider leadership team
- Ensure your room operates in accordance with the NQF, NQS and relevant legislation
Assistant Educators – Diploma & Certificate III
We are seeking passionate Diploma and Certificate III Educators who are committed to providing high-quality education and care.
You will:
- Support the planning and implementation of engaging educational programs
- Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Support children's learning, development and wellbeing through meaningful interactions
- Contribute to observations, documentation and reflective practice
- Work collaboratively with your room team
- Maintain compliance with relevant policies, procedures and regulations
Previous experience in an early childhood education and care setting is preferred. Student placement experience alone will not meet the preferred experience criteria.
Trainee Educators
Are you looking to start your career in early childhood education?
We are also looking for enthusiastic Trainee Educators who are passionate about working with children and are eager to learn and develop their skills.
You will receive support and guidance from experienced educators while gaining practical experience in a professional early childhood environment.
This is a great opportunity to:
- Gain hands-on experience in early childhood education
- Work towards your Certificate III qualification
- Learn from experienced educators and Room Leaders
- Develop your knowledge of the EYLF and NQS
- Build meaningful relationships with children and families

Qualifications & Requirements
Depending on the position, you will have:
- ACECQA-approved Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care – for Diploma-qualified positions
- ACECQA-approved Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care – for Certificate III positions
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications
- Current Child Protection training/certificate
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
- Previous leadership experience for AD, EL and Room Leader positions
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing
