About the Roles

Our Client, a Harvey based premium meat processing facility are seeking the professional services of trade qualified:

1. A-Grade Electricians
2. Mechanical Fitters

Responsible for maintaining meat processing fixed plant and associated equipment, responding to breakdowns and supporting initiatives to maximise plant availability for quality meat production.

1. A-Grade Electrician Accountabilities:

- Ensure compliance with AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules and relevant electrical standards
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly planned work orders through the MEX maintenance management system
- Maintain the integrity and reliability of site electrical installations and equipment
- Respond to electrical breakdowns during production to minimise downtime
- Diagnose faults and undertake programming of PLCs, variable speed drives, MCCs and control systems
- Analyse equipment failures and implement preventative measures to reduce recurring issues
- Assist with electrical repairs, upgrades, shutdowns, and capital projects.

1. Mechanical Fitter Accountabilities:

- Perform maintenance and repairs on plant and production equipment
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly planned work orders through the MEX maintenance system to ensure plant reliability and support production targets




- Respond to mechanical breakdowns and perform timely fault diagnosis and repair
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and process-related issues
- Support preventative and predictive maintenance programs
- Assemble and fit machined parts using precision fitting techniques
- Drill, tap, machine and modify components, check tolerances clearances, alignment and operation of moving part – as required
- Cut, thread, bend and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines.

Essential Requirements

- Relevant trade qualification is essential
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Excellent fitting and fault-finding skills with experience in industrial maintenance environments
- Strong PLC fault-finding and programming experience with sound knowledge of motors, drives, MCCs and industrial control systems
- Ability to read and interpret relevant engineering drawings and pneumatic schematics
- Machining experience including milling, turning and general workshop machining
- Fabrication and welding experience in mild steel and stainless steel
- A valuable understanding of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) regulations, food processing, or meat industry (preferred but not essential)
- Strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.
