Our Client
Our client is a specialist consulting business with deep expertise across workforce management, HCM and payroll transformation.
They work with organisations navigating complex workforce environments, helping them improve the way their systems, processes and people work together.
With continued growth across their project portfolio, they are looking for an experienced Senior WFM & HCM Consultant to join the team.
The business offers exceptional flexibility and genuine work-from-home options, with the emphasis very much on outcomes rather than time spent in the office.
The Role
This is a senior consulting role focused on WFM, HCM and workforce systems transformation.
Working across a range of client engagements, you will help organisations design, configure and optimise solutions across workforce management, time and attendance, rostering, scheduling and broader HCM processes.
The focus is on understanding how each organisation operates, translating complex workforce requirements into practical system solutions, and improving the way people, processes and technology work together.
You will be involved across the full project lifecycle, from discovery and requirements gathering through to solution design, configuration, testing, implementation and post-go-live optimisation.
While payroll forms part of the broader ecosystem, the strongest fit will be someone with genuine depth across Dayforce WFM and HCM functionality, rather than payroll-only experience.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading WFM and HCM implementations, upgrades and transformation projects
- Running discovery sessions and requirements workshops with clients
- Understanding workforce structures, rostering, scheduling and time & attendance requirements
- Translating modern awards, EBAs and business rules into practical system solutions
- Reviewing existing workforce processes and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Supporting functional configuration across Dayforce WFM and broader HCM functionality
- Designing solutions across rostering, scheduling, time capture, approvals and workforce rules
- Developing and executing functional testing and UAT scenarios
- Troubleshooting configuration, process and integration issues
- Supporting data validation and ensuring downstream payroll outcomes are accurate
- Working closely with clients, vendors and internal project teams
- Supporting implementation, training, go-live and stabilisation
- Acting as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the project lifecycle
Why Should You Apply?
- Exceptional flexibility, with significant opportunity to work from home
- Join a specialist team with genuine depth across payroll, WFM and HCM
- Work on complex and interesting workforce transformation projects
- Broaden your exposure beyond BAU payroll into genuine systems consulting
- Opportunity to influence solution design rather than simply operate within an existing system
- Work directly with clients across discovery, configuration and implementation
- Strong autonomy within a team-oriented and experienced team
- Inner north location when you do choose to work from the office
The Successful Candidate
The key to this role is depth of Dayforce experience beyond the payroll module alone.
You may currently be working within consulting, implementation, HRIS, workforce systems or an internal transformation team.
Ideally, you will bring:
- Strong hands-on experience with Dayforce
- Experience across Dayforce WFM, Time & Attendance and/or broader HCM functionality
- Exposure beyond simply processing payroll within Dayforce
- Strong understanding of rostering, scheduling, time capture and workforce rules
- Experience configuring, implementing or optimising WFM/HCM systems
- Understanding of modern awards, EBAs and complex Australian pay conditions
- Experience gathering requirements and translating them into system solutions
- Exposure to testing, UAT, implementation and go-live activities
- Confidence working directly with senior client stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to challenge existing processes
Experience across Australian and New Zealand workforce environments would be highly regarded.
