My client is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join their team delivering works across multiple Rio Tinto projects in Tom Price and Paraburdoo.

You will be responsible for supporting the project teams to ensure a strong safety culture is maintained and all works are completed in accordance with Rio Tinto standards, site procedures, legislation and project requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HSE professional to secure ongoing FIFO work with a well-established contractor supporting major Rio Tinto operations across the Pilbara.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide day-to-day HSE support across Rio Tinto project sites.
- Promote and maintain a robust safety culture across the project.
- Ensure compliance with Rio Tinto HSE standards, procedures and site requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits and workplace observations.
- Assist with the identification, assessment and management of hazards and risks.
- Review and monitor SWMS, JHAs, Take 5s and other safety documentation.
- Facilitate toolbox meetings, pre-starts and safety interactions.
- Investigate incidents, near misses and non-conformances and assist with corrective actions.




- Provide HSE advice and support to supervisors, management and site personnel.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- Previous experience working as an HSE Advisor within the mining, resources, civil construction or heavy industry sectors.
- Previous Rio Tinto site experience is highly desirable.
- Current Rio Tinto inductions are essential.
- Strong understanding of mining and construction HSE systems, procedures and legislation.
- Demonstrated experience conducting inspections, audits, risk assessments and safety observations.
- Experience with incident investigations and corrective action processes.
- Strong knowledge of SWMS, JHAs, Take 5s and other safety management systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Immediate availability is highly regarded.
