About the role

This is a Mechanic/Technician position with a well-established and respected mechanical repair workshop in Weipa . The role offers a long-term opportunity as part of an established team

PURPOSE To carry out all mechanical duties involved with repairs and maintenance, servicing and component repairs on different models of vehicles and machinery encompassing 4WD’s, Sedans, Miscellaneous Equipment and trailers at our Weipa Branch.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Servicing, maintenance, and repairs of light vehicles, but may also include miscellaneous equipment as required. • Quality Management of all jobs flowing through workshop.

• Proactively work to reduce rework and poor workmanship throughout the workshop environment

• Controlling efficiency and productivity with an analytical approach to effective time management of all jobs coming into the workshop.

• A high level of communication between all staff, parts department, administration and management.





• Being proactive in identifying dangers or improvements to workshop functions.

• Maximizing sales growth opportunities. Up-selling. Completing thorough checks on vehicles in the workshop to look for additional work.

• Accurately complete Job Cards for further processing.

• Talking to customers regarding technical issues when required.

• Encourage a teamwork environment. • Be familiar with the Quality System, company policies and procedures.

• Use the company computer operating system.

About you

- Experienced Mechanic/Technician

- Trade qualifications required

- Australian maintenance experience required

- Currently living in Australia
