About the role

We are looking for a qualified accountant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will contribute to a team of accounting specialists and will be responsible for financial reporting, accounting compliance, taxation, financial analysis and the maintenance of effective accounting controls across Body Corporate entities.

Key responsibilities

- Reviewing and analysing financial records, invoices and supporting documentation to ensure the completeness, accuracy and compliance of financial information used in annual financial reporting.
- Preparing and analysing management accounts and financial reports and addressing any discrepancies.
- Managing all adjustments and accruals for Body Corporate financial statements.
- Reviewing financial statements and accounting records prepared by Body Corporate Managers, identify and resolve discrepancies, and ensure financial statements comply with applicable accounting and reporting requirements prior to finalisation.
- Prepare, review and finalise financial statements and management reports for Body Corporate entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with applicable accounting and statutory requirements.
- Reconcile no longer managed corporations and prepare for handover.




- Support the onboarding of new Corporations by reviewing and establishing appropriate financial records, accounting processes and reporting requirements.
- Prepare financial records, schedules and supporting documentation required for external audit processes.
- Develop, review and update internal controls relevant to accounting systems and financial reporting.
- Assist with budgeting, financial analysis and the preparation of reports to support effective financial management and decision-making.

About you

- Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Accounting.
- Previous experience in a commercial accounting role or related role.
- Proven budget management skills.
- Strong understanding of the financial effects of decisions and be able to make informed recommendations to maximise financial sustainability.
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to analyse financial information and identify discrepancies.
- Ability to work collaboratively with managers and other accounting and finance professionals.
