About the role
NEOS is seeking an experienced finance professional for a six month contract to lead the financial analysis, preparation and project management of major funding and strategic transactions workstreams, and to support their execution. The role will prepare high-quality financial, lender, investor and Board materials, coordinate internal and external stakeholders, interrogate complex financial and operational data, and provide clear insights on key issues, risks and value drivers. The successful candidate will combine solid corporate finance, modelling and analytical capability with disciplined project management, advanced Excel and data skills, and the ability to communicate complex matters clearly and concisely to senior stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of financial information, analysis and supporting materials for funding, lender, investor, Board and other transaction-related processes.
- Project manage funding and transaction workstreams, including timelines, deliverables, stakeholder inputs, review processes and execution requirements.
- Maintain integrated project plans, information request lists, decision logs and issue trackers, and actively drive stakeholders to resolve dependencies and meet critical deadlines.
- Develop, review and maintain financial models, analysis packs and data outputs to support funding proposals, valuation, strategic decision-making and transaction execution.
- Take ownership of the integrity, version control, assumptions and outputs of financial models used in funding and strategic transaction processes.
- Coordinate with internal finance,
legal, executive and operational teams to ensure materials are accurate, complete, consistent and delivered to agreed deadlines.
- Support the assessment and execution of strategic financing and transaction opportunities, including business case development, financial analysis, diligence activities and evaluation of key risks and value drivers.
- Work closely with financiers, external advisers and diligence teams to support reviews, respond to information requests, manage open issues and maintain transaction momentum.
- Handle commercially sensitive and confidential information with appropriate judgement, discretion and document-control discipline.
- Use advanced Excel and data tools, including Power Query and other analytical platforms, to interrogate, cleanse, reconcile and present financial and operational data.
About you
- Advanced financial modelling skills, including the ability to build, review and challenge integrated financial models, forecasts, sensitivities and scenario analysis.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, cash flow, valuation methodologies, funding structures and transaction analysis.
- Ability to rapidly analyse complex financial and operational data and identify key assumptions, trends, risks and value drivers.
- Experience supporting funding, refinancing, M&A;, strategic finance projects or other transaction processes.
- Understanding of lender, investor and adviser requirements, including the preparation of clear and decision-useful financial materials.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel capability is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in data preparation, analysis or visualisation tools.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines, dependencies and stakeholder inputs in a fast-moving and confidential environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the preparation of executive and Board-level materials.
- Sound commercial judgement and the confidence to constructively challenge assumptions and escalate issues where required.
