United Supports is seeking an organised and detail-focused NDIS Plan Manager to join our team on a part-time, fixed-term basis.

This position is being offered for approximately six months to provide parental leave coverage for an existing team member. Depending on business needs and growth, there may be an opportunity for the position to continue or develop beyond the initial fixed-term period; however, ongoing employment cannot be guaranteed.

About the role

As an NDIS Plan Manager, you will support participants to effectively manage the financial administration of their NDIS funding.

The role involves processing and reviewing invoices and claims, monitoring participant budgets, maintaining accurate records, communicating with participants and providers, and ensuring claims are consistent with participant plans and NDIS requirements.

You will work as part of the United Supports team while also managing your own workload and participant responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

- Process and review invoices for plan-managed participants.

- Assess and submit NDIS claims in accordance with participant plans, available budgets and applicable NDIS requirements.

- Monitor participant budgets and expenditure, identifying potential over- or underspending.

- Maintain accurate participant, plan, funding and financial records.

- Assist with the onboarding of new Plan Management participants and renewal of existing participants.

- Complete and maintain service agreements, consent documentation and other required participant records.





- Establish and maintain participant funding and fee arrangements.

- Liaise with participants, nominees, providers and other relevant stakeholders regarding invoices, payments and Plan Management matters.

- Maintain accurate records of communications and interactions.

- Respond to participant and provider enquiries by phone and email in a professional and timely manner.

- Identify invoice discrepancies or potential claiming issues and follow these up with participants or providers as required.

- Support the broader finance and administration team where required, including accounts payable/receivable, Xero data entry and other related financial administration.

- Work in accordance with United Supports policies, procedures, privacy requirements and Quality Management System.

About you

We are looking for someone who is organised, accurate and comfortable working with financial information while providing a high level of customer service.

You will ideally have:

- Previous experience in Plan Management, accounts, bookkeeping, financial administration or a similar customer-focused administrative role.

- Strong computer skills and confidence working with databases, financial systems and Microsoft Office.





- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

- Clear and qualified written and verbal communication skills.

- The ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with participants, families, providers and other stakeholders.

- The ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.

- A high level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential and sensitive information.

- A positive and respectful approach to working with people with disability.

- Current working rights in Australia for the duration of the employment.

Desirable

Experience in any of the following would be highly regarded:

- Previous NDIS Plan Management experience.

- Knowledge of the NDIS and NDIS claiming requirements.

- Experience using Plan Management or NDIS-related software.

- Working knowledge of Xero.

- Certificate IV or other relevant qualification in bookkeeping, accounting, business administration or a related field.

While this position is initially being offered on a fixed-term basis, there may be an opportunity for ongoing employment depending on the needs and growth of United Supports at the conclusion of the contract.
