The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) is a not-for-profit organisation responsible for the training, assessment and continuing professional development of emergency physicians as well as the advancement of professional standards in emergency medicine in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

The Coordinator, Events provides organisational, administrative and delivery support for a range of college events with the overall aim of ensuring that ACEM delivers a premium delegate experience before, during and after every event.
This is a pivotal,
hands-on role in the delivery of the College’s two main annual events, the Annual Scientific Meeting and the College Ceremony, and also involves coordinating other College events such as Conferences, online events and webinars.
The main responsibilities include:
• liaising with Professional Conference Organisers, venues, contractors, suppliers and organizing committees;
• managing event budgets, sponsorship and trade exhibits;
• supporting program development, conference websites and apps, accommodation and venue negotiations, and invited speakers;
• maintaining the College’s events procedures, templates and guidelines;
• preparing reports for committees and the Board;
• coordinating volunteers.
The successful applicant will have completed a relevant Bachelor's degree (in Events Management, Public Relations, Marketing or Communications), or have proven experience in Events Management, and have demonstrated high-level experience delivering online events and webinars (using Zoom, AirCast, OnAir and EventsAir).
In addition, we require exceptional skills in organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple events concurrently whilst working towards strict deadlines.
You must be able to travel interstate to attend events, especially in late November 2026.
