RAE.CO PLUMBING
Redhead
Location: Redhead
Job Type: Part time, 3 days a week
Salary: $80,000 – $120,000 FTE (pro rata: approx. $48,000 – $72,000 for a 3-day week)
- Own marketing performance end-to-end — from ad spend to booked jobs
- High-impact role with clear accountability for lead volume, quality, and ROI
Join one Newcastle's leading trades businesses!
At RAE.CO Plumbing, we’re more than a plumbing business — we’re a trusted, family founded business that values genuine connection, reliability, and long-term solutions for our customers across Newcastle.
As part of our team, you’ll be joining a company built on honesty, care, and high-quality service.
We're looking for a hands-on Marketing Performance Manager to own digital and outbound marketing. This is an execution-focused role: you'll run campaigns, manage vendors, produce creative, and report on what's working — while staying closely connected to sales and customer service to keep lead volume and quality on track.
If you're comfortable moving between writing ad copy, briefing a direct mail drop, and reviewing a GA4 report without missing a beat, we want to hear from you.
What’s on offer
- Real ownership – own lead generation performance across two established businesses
- Direct impact on revenue – see your work translate into booked jobs and growth
- Autonomy to execute – test, optimise, and make decisions without layers of approval
- Strong leadership exposure – work directly with the VP Marketing and General Managers
- Growth opportunity – be part of a fast-scaling platform with long-term career upside
What you'll be doing
Digital Performance & Lead Generation
- Manage and optimise paid campaigns across Google Ads (Search, Display), Meta, and retargeting alongside our digital agency
- Own campaign structure, keyword strategy, bidding logic, and negative keyword hygiene
- Track lead volume, conversion rates, and cost-per-lead by channel; maintain a live performance dashboard
- Coordinate with the CSR team on speed-to-lead and follow-up on inbound enquiries
- Reallocate spend based on performance — act on the data,
not assumptions
Outbound Marketing & Creative
- Plan and execute email and direct mail campaigns to existing and prospective customers
- Produce easy, on-brand creative — email templates, direct mail layouts, promotional materials
- Manage email lists: segmentation by customer type, job history, and geography (HubSpot experience a plus)
- Track outbound performance: open rates, response rates, and downstream booking impact
- Align outbound activity with seasonal demand and promotions
SEO & Organic Search
- Execute against a prioritised keyword list to drive top Google rankings for high-intent local searches, alongside our agency
- Manage suburb-level content quality and Google guideline compliance
- Monitor site health via Search Console; oversee on-page optimisation (H1/H2, schema, internal linking)
- Own Google Business Profile and drive local map pack visibility
Analytics & Reporting
- Own GA4 setup and attribution integrity across all active campaigns with agency
- Pull and run reports that drive marketing decisions, lead tracking, and ROI measurement
- Maintain the ServiceTitan marketing dashboard — spend, leads, and conversion by channel
- Deliver regular performance summaries to leadership: what's working, what's not, what's next
Agency, Vendor & Sales Collaboration
- Manage day-to-day relationships with SEO and paid media agencies; hold them accountable to the data
- Work with sales and CSR teams to reduce lead leakage and improve customer experience
- Align the marketing calendar with seasonal demand and operational capacity
Lighthouse Network
- Work directly alongside the VP of Marketing at Lighthouse Service Partners level — strategic oversight and mentorship beyond a typical in-house role
- Collaborate with marketing leads across Lighthouse's portfolio of trade service businesses, sharing playbooks and benchmarks
What we're looking for
- Demonstrated experience managing Google Ads, Meta, and retargeting campaigns with measurable results
- Experience planning and executing email and direct mail campaigns, including list management (Mailchimp, HubSpot or similar)
- Comfortable producing simple creative assets in tools like Canva, and briefing designers when needed
- Working knowledge of GA4 — event tracking, attribution, reporting
- Familiarity with local SEO for multi-suburb service businesses
- Experience managing or working alongside external agencies, with the confidence to review and challenge their output
- CRM-based marketing reporting experience (ServiceTitan or similar a plus)
- Background in home services, trades, or high-intent local service businesses is an advantage, but not essential
You'll thrive here if you're
- Collaborative but self-sufficient — you manage competing priorities across the business and are comfortable being the only dedicated marketer in the room
- Analytical — you reach for the data before forming a view, and notice what others miss
- Accountable — you own results, not just activity, and surface problems early with a plan attached
- Organised — you run campaigns and vendor relationships with structure
- Commercially minded — you understand how marketing spend connects to booked jobs and revenue
