The Prospect
We're looking for an experienced Contracts Administrator who wants to stay close to the projects they're administering - just as comfortable on site as they are managing the detail behind a contract.
This is a hands-on, hybrid role where you'll take ownership of contracts from award through to close-out. You'll work closely with our project teams, subcontractors and clients, with regular travel to project sites across Australia and travel to our NSW Head Office based in Wagga Wagga.
Until now, much of our contract administration has been shared across the team. As our projects have grown in value and complexity, we're now looking for someone to take ownership of this area and strengthen the commercial support behind our projects as Greenline continues to grow.
This isn't a purely desk-based CA role. We want someone who can confidently deal with contractual issues on site and knows how to keep the commercial side of a project moving.
About Greenline
Greenline designs and constructs custom outdoor spaces. From schools and councils to sporting clubs, our work creates places that connect people and inspire them to grow.
You'll join a high-performing, down-to-earth team where people take ownership, communicate openly and support each other to achieve great outcomes. Guided by our values of Leadership, Trust and Excellence, we offer meaningful work, opportunities to grow and the chance to make a real impact.
What You'll Do
- Manage contracts, subcontracts and supplier agreements from award through to final account and close-out.
- Work closely with Project Managers and site teams to manage contractual obligations, risks, scope changes and commercial issues.
- Manage subcontractor engagement and prequalification, including insurances, licences and required compliance documentation.
- Administer progress claims, variations, payments, retentions and final accounts.
- Manage contractual notices, Security of Payment requirements, deadlines and contract registers.
- Maintain accurate contract, variation and subcontractor records and provide clear reporting on claims, variations and contract status.
- Build strong working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, head contractors and clients.
- Travel to project sites across Australia to attend meetings and work through contractual and commercial matters with the project team.
What You'll Bring
- Proven Contracts Administration experience on construction projects, with strong contract administration skills and practical experience working with project and site teams.
- Strong practical knowledge of construction contracts, subcontracts, variations, progress claims and final accounts.
- Working knowledge of Security of Payment legislation and Australian construction contracts.
- The confidence to attend site meetings, deal with head contractors and subcontractors and work through issues when they arise.
- Strong commercial judgement, attention to detail and the ability to identify risk early.
- A practical, self-managed approach - you're comfortable taking ownership without needing to be closely managed.
- Current driver's licence and White Card.
- Experience with Premier or similar construction/project management systems would be an advantage
- A construction management, quantity surveying, law or related qualification would be well regarded.
The Way We Work
We're open to the right person being based in Wagga Wagga, Brisbane or Sydney, with flexibility to work in a hybrid way.
Wherever you're based, being connected to our projects and team is important. Travel is an important part of the role. You'll visit interstate project sites as required and attend quarterly team days at our Wagga Wagga Head Office. Your initial onboarding will also include approximately two weeks with our Wagga Wagga team.
