Food Assist is seeking a reliable, hardworking Warehouse Leading Hand & Delivery Driver to join our business of 30 years in operation. We offer a guaranteed minimum of 28 paid hours per week, with opportunities for up to 38 hours when additional day/days become available.

About the Role

This is a varied, hands-on position combining warehouse duties, delivery driving and being a team leader for current employees and volunteers. You’ll work alongside our Warehouse Supervisor to ensure our warehouse operates efficiently while also colleting and delivering bulk food product to and from Suppliers throughout Toowoomba and Brisbane regions.

The role is active and involves general warehouse duties. While there is some manual handling, most duties are carried out with the use of Mechanical aids. The role primarily involves stocking food filled pallets on racking, warehouse organisation, overseeing floor staff and delivery driving.

Your responsibilities will include:





· Pick up and transport food stock safely and on time to our facility in Toowoomba Qld

· Loading and unloading vehicles with care

· Completing delivery documentation accurately

· Providing friendly, professional customer service

· Assisting with stock rotation and warehouse organisation

· Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy

· Following directions from the Warehouse Supervisor

· Complying with all workplace health and safety requirements

· Ability to cover Warehouse Supervisors position when required

Hours

We guarantee a minimum of 28 paid hours per week, with additional days when required. (up to approximately 38 hours per week)

What We’re Looking For

· Current Australian Driver Licence with a safe driving record

· Warehouse experience

· Physically fit and capable of carrying out general warehouse duties, including regular walking, bending and light to moderate manual handling

· Delivery driving or multi-drop experience

· Excellent customer service skills

· Reliable, punctual and able to work independently

· Strong time management and attention to detail

· Forklift Licence (essential)

· Current Blue Card & Yellow Cards (or willingness to obtain one—we’ll reimburse the successful applicant)
