About the role:

Statewide Mental Health Services (Tasmania) is seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to take on a locum Clinical Director role within Adult Mental Health Services, based at the Royal Hobart Hospital.

The Clinical Director provides strategic leadership and clinical direction across the Department of Psychiatry, including oversight of the inpatient and extended treatment Mental Health Services, the medical workforce, and Head of Department responsibilities under the Mental Health Act.

- Work pattern: Full time, day work (on call required)
- Rate: $2,500 per day

Requirements

- Authorised medical practitioner with current AHPRA registration
- Current Supervisor Certificate (required for this role)
- Evidence of current Medical Indemnity (public and private patients)
- Satisfactory National Criminal History Check (issued within the last 12 months)
- Medicare Provider Number, photo ID, and immigration/visa documentation if applicable
