Working Supervisor – Commercial Cleaning

Cairns | Full Time, 38 Hours

Step into a leadership role with a growing and qualified commercial cleaning company operating across Cairns and surrounding areas.

We are seeking an experienced Working Supervisor who thrives in a rapid-paced setting and takes pride in maintaining high standards across multiple locations. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys leading from the front, supporting cleaning teams and completing specialist cleaning work when required.

You will oversee a portfolio of commercial sites across Cairns and surrounds, ensuring operational excellence, strong client relationships and consistent service delivery.

What You Will Be Doing
Overseeing daily cleaning operations across your allocated portfolio
Working across multiple locations throughout Cairns and surrounding areas
Conducting monthly site inspections and quality audits
Supporting cleaning teams and stepping in during staffing gaps
Training, mentoring and performance managing cleaning staff
Responding promptly to client enquiries and resolving issues professionally
Managing stock levels and maintaining cleaner rooms to company standards
Ensuring compliance, reporting and operational updates are completed fortnightly




Maintaining contract KPIs and driving continuous improvement
Completing and assisting with periodic and specialist cleaning services, including:
Carpet steam cleaning
Floor polishing
Pressure washing
Floor stripping and sealing
Working closely with Area Managers and the Operations team

What We Are Looking For
Proven experience in commercial cleaning supervision
Practical experience in carpet steam cleaning, floor polishing, pressure washing, and stripping and sealing floors
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple sites, competing priorities and changing operational requirements
Willingness to work hands-on and travel between different locations
High attention to detail and strong quality-control capabilities
A proactive and solutions-focused approach
Current driver’s licence
