Leading apartment hotel is currently seeking a Maintenance Person to support our Woolloongabba property.

About the Role

As a Maintenance Person you will work to ensure our property is protected, well maintained and well presented.

Your key responsibilities
Fitting, testing, repairing and replacing fixtures and fittings, including lightbulbs, windows, doors, and handrails.
Performing basic plumbing maintenance and repairs on taps, basins and toilets.
Performing basic carpentry, including hanging and replacing doors and operating power tools.
Performing minor welds to fabricate or repair fixtures.
Reporting requirements for significant repairs to management.
Clearing gutters and common areas of rubbish and debris.
Applying and repairing paint and plaster.
Changing locks on doors and windows.

To be successful in this role you will have
Familiarity with maintenance officer/handyman duties or hold an applicable trade.
Exposure in a hotel workplace is highly desirable.
A high level of attention to detail.
The ability to work independently.




Availability to work shifts Monday to Friday, while weekends and public holidays would only be required ad hoc should there be an emergency requirement
Professional approach in dealing with guests and other staff members whilst carrying out your daily tasks.
A current driver’s license .
