As a Food Services Assistant, you will support the preparation, delivery, and serving of meals to our elderly clients. You will play an important role in ensuring clients receive nutritious meals in a secure, hygienic, and respectful setting.
Tasks Required
Assist with food preparation and meal assembly
Prepare and serve meals and beverages to clients
Assist with setting up and cleaning dining and food service areas
Follow food safety, hygiene, and infection control procedures
Ensure meals are served according to clients’ dietary requirements
Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised food service environment
Provide friendly and respectful service to clients
Report any concerns regarding food, dietary requirements, or clients’ needs to the appropriate supervisor
Requirements and Qualifications
Previous experience in food services, hospitality, or aged care is preferred
Food Safety/Food Handling certification is desirable
Good understanding of hygiene and food safety practices
Compassionate, respectful, and patient approach when working with elderly clients
Positive communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
Current First Aid and CPR certification is desirable
