We require a Kitchen Hand who is a support staff member in a kitchen. They will assist the Pastry Chefs, trainees and other kitchen staff with cleaning the food preparation areas and other parts of the kitchen. A major part of the role involves dishwashing, cleaning of the cooking and utensils and kitchen equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Main duties, tasks and responsibilities are listed in order of importance.
Operate the industrial dishwasher
Wash bakeware and other implements by hand when necessary
Empty and clean all trash receptacles
Clean mixer machines daily
Clean dish storage and bench tops during the shift and at end of day
Vacuum and mop floors at end of day (when on shift)
Follow sanitation policies at all times




Provide assistance to prep hands and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times
Perform opening and closing duties when necessary or on those specific shifts affected
Clean up spills or broken items immediately
Report any hygiene or maintenance issues to appropriate party

Pay: $28.00 – $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 38.0 per week
