Motor Mechanic-Full time

Full-time Motor Mechanic position vacant at an established automotive workshop KPR Automotive located at the Western Suburbs in QLD. Minimum 38 hours a week.

Job Description:
Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles.
Repair and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed.
Detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and parts with the assistance of computers.
Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts.
check and repair suspensions, brakes and wheel alignments of automotive vehicles.
Reassembling engines and parts following repair.
Manage stock reordering and inventory as directed, putting the stock (for example brakes, sparkplugs, oil filters) at the proper places.
Maintain and manage tools, equipment, and machinery in good condition.
Deliver outstanding customer service at all times,



ensuring a qualified and polite manner when communicating with customers.
Full adherence to regulations, relating to pollution and health and safety at all times.
Maintaining a clean and secure working environment through ensuring the correct operation of all tools and specialised equipment.
Coordinating with other mechanics where teamwork was needed.

Applicant must have:
Completed at least Cert-III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology and a minimum of 1 year of full-time work experience as a motor mechanic. At least 1 year work experience in servicing electric and hybrid vehicles. At least 1 year work experience with Intercontinental, Asian and European car vehicles
Must hold a current driver's license.
A desire to achieve results.

Annual Salary (depending on experience/skills) between $80,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation.
