Yaandina Community Services is seeking a Personal Care Worker to join our aged care team on a permanent basis. In this role, you'll deliver person-centred care and lifestyle support to residents, working as part of a multidisciplinary team committed to promoting dignity, independence, and cultural connection. You'll support residents with daily living activities, encourage meaningful engagement with family and community, and help create a safe, respectful, and homelike workplace where residents can thrive.
Provide direct personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, including showering, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Support residents' emotional, social, spiritual, and cultural wellbeing through meaningful engagement and connection to Country
Work collaboratively with nurses, allied health specialists, and families to deliver high-quality care in line with Aged Care Quality Standards

Preferred Requirements
Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability, or Individual Support
Current NDIS Clearance




Demonstrated experience working in an aged care facility or similar care setting
Sound understanding of safe manual handling, infection prevention and control, and workplace health and safety practices
Robust communication skills and the ability to work respectfully with residents, families, and colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications
Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability Support, or Individual Support (or equivalent)
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Experience in culturally responsive care practice or demonstrated commitment to working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities

Hourly rate is based off the Aged Care Award 2010 pending qualifications and experience
