Job Overview
Uniting Garden Suburb has 3 separate households, each with between 25–30 residents. This includes a secure household for people living with dementia or mental health illness. Your Uniting Homemaker ensures that the community is thriving and doing things that are meaningful and enjoyable.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise the smooth operation of a household.
Allocate work to team members based on resident choices, promoting a cohesive and harmonious work setting.
Manage queries and feedback from residents, families, co‑workers and service providers.
Monitor equipment safety and arrange maintenance and repairs.
Track supplies and consumables and re‑order as needed within budget.
Assist residents with daily living activities and personal care, prioritizing dignity and independence.
Continuously improve service quality in line with Aged Care Accreditation Standards.
Key Qualifications
Certificate IV in Aged Care or equivalent qualification.
Previous supervisory experience in aged or community care (or a comparable industry).
Adaptable, resourceful and able to live Uniting values of compassion, respect, imagination and boldness daily.
Experience using client/data management systems.
Capable of working up to 60 hours per fortnight.
Optional additional certifications: Assist Clients with Medication (HLTHPS006), Recognise Healthy Body Systems (HLTAP301B), Provide Support to People Living with Dementia (CHCAGE005).
National Police Check, References and pre‑employment screening required.
