Christchurch (flexible) · NZD $85-95k base commission · Full time
One of our clients is a rapid-growing hospitality technology company that is expanding across New Zealand, and I'm running the search for their next business developer. I'm after someone who knows hospitality from the inside and can sell.
This is a sales role, but not a numbers-only one. It's for someone who's lived the rhythm of service: the busy kitchen, the Friday-night bar, the realities of daily trade, and can use that credibility to open doors and win new venues.
Here's what you'd be doing:
Building and owning your own sales pipeline: finding leads, chasing them, closing them
Bringing new venues onto a leading POS platform and its integrated tools (reservations, QR ordering, inventory, rostering and more)
Managing a portfolio of existing clients and growing those relationships
Getting out on the road across NZ:
Queenstown, Auckland and beyond
What you'll need:
Genuine hospitality experience: time spent working in or around venues, so you understand how they run day-to-day (this one's essential)
A few years in sales or business development, ideally building pipeline from scratch
The confidence to sit across from owners and earn their trust
Self-motivated, independent, and driven by results
NZ work rights and a current driver's licence
A robust advantage:
Experience with hospitality technology or POS systems: if you've sold, used or supported it, that'll put you near the top of the pile
Christchurch is ideal, but I'm flexible for the right person if you're happy to travel. If this sounds like you, please get in touch.
