Reporting to the Business Manager, your role as a Condition Monitoring Technician will be on a Permanent Full-Time basis working at Alcoa Portland, Victoria.

You will support our reliability and maintenance teams by implementing and maintaining condition-based monitoring programs across critical plant and equipment. You will assist in detecting early signs of mechanical degradation, reduce unplanned downtime and improve overall asset performance.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine condition monitoring tasks including vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing, oil sampling and data collection
Carrying out sensor installation, in-situ field balancing and alignment of rotating machinery
Analyse machine condition data and identify trends and early indications of failure
Prepare detailed reports and provide recommendations to maintenance and engineering teams

The successful applicant will ideally have
ISO 18436-2 / Level II Vibration Analysis Training and Certification
2+ years analysis experience (MHM knowledge advantageous)
Thermography training and qualification highly regarded
Hands-on mechanical experience and knowledge with oil/grease sampling
Strong communication and people skills
Secure work practices and commitment to workplace health and safety




Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including a drug & alcohol screen
