Applications are invited for the position of Accounts Manager, Grade 4 in the Accounts Department at Sagicor Finance Inc (SFI).

Job Summary To maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial reports including but not limited to - Management Accounts, Liquidity Position, Gap Analysis, calculation of expected credit losses (ECL) annual budgets and strategic plan. The incumbent must ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and support Sagicor Finance Inc’s. financial management and operational efficiency.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
Prepare monthly/quarterly & annual reports on the performance of the business.
Prepare annual budgets and the revision of strategic plans in line with the budget.
Maintain the General Ledger for SFI monthly.
Maintain the Fixed Assets register.
Co-ordinate the preparation of annual financial statements and work with the external

auditors.
Approve all invoices for payment.
Ensure that there are appropriate recording systems in place.
Participate in the recruitment, performance management and discipline of staff in the

company.



Supervise and coordinate the work of the accounting staff.
Ensure all insurances are in force and valid.
Perform any other duties as required.

Qualifications And Experience Required
A Skilled Accounting qualification (ACCA, CGA or equivalent) and at least five (5)

years experience in a similar position with previous management experience.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communications skills including expert

knowledge in the suite of Microsoft products.
Proven leadership experience
Previous experience in the accounting field
A high proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software.
The ability to communicate effectively in writing and oral form is essential.
Positive organisational and administrative skills.
Must be goal oriented and be able to work under pressure.
Previous experience within a financial services workplace would be an asset.
