QA Automation Engineer - GCP / API / Data, Hybrid Sydney

Daily rate: $725 p/d | Multi-Year Contract Opportunity | Hybrid

We’re looking for a Mid-Level QA Automation Engineer to join a major Australian organisation on a large-scale technology program.

This is a genuinely long-term, multi-year contracting chance, starting with an initial 6-month contract and offering strong potential for ongoing extensions across a significant pipeline of work.

You’ll be working across backend, data and cloud-based systems, with a solid focus on API, database and data-flow testing within a GCP environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
API testing across complex backend services and integrations
SQL testing and validation across databases and large datasets
Testing ETL processes and end-to-end data flows
Testing event-driven systems and messaging technologies
Validating cloud-native environments within GCP
Building and maintaining automated integration and regression tests




Working across microservices and distributed systems
Collaborating closely with developers, SREs and architects

What We’re Looking For
Strong GCP experience
Solid SQL experience
Strong API testing experience
Good understanding of ETL
Experience with event-driven technologies
QA automation experience within backend environments
Experience testing microservices or distributed systems
Python automation experience is highly desirable
