Role DescriptionA Caissier is responsible for handling customer transactions, processing payments, managing cash, and providing efficient and professional customer service. The role ensures accurate financial transactions, proper cash handling, and a smooth checkout experience while following company procedures and security standards.

Key Responsibilities
Process cash, card, mobile, and other payment transactions accurately.
Operate cash registers, POS systems, and payment terminals.
Issue receipts, invoices, refunds, and transaction records.
Receive and verify cash, payments, and customer transaction information.
Maintain accurate cash balances and complete daily cash reconciliation.
Assist customers with payment-related questions and transaction issues.
Handle refunds, exchanges, discounts, and promotional transactions according to company policies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient checkout area.
Identify and report cash discrepancies, suspicious transactions, or payment issues.
Follow cash-handling, security, and loss-prevention procedures.
Maintain accurate transaction records and supporting documentation.




Coordinate with supervisors and other departments regarding payment or customer issues.
Assist with opening and closing cash registers and preparing daily cash reports.
Provide friendly, professional, and effective customer service.
Follow company policies, financial procedures, and applicable regulations.

Qualifications
High school diploma, certificate, or equivalent qualification.
Previous experience as a Caissier, Cashier, Sales Assistant, Retail Assistant, or similar role is preferred.
Experience using POS systems, cash registers, and payment terminals.
Strong numerical and basic calculation skills.
Valuable attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash and transactions.
Positive customer service and communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple transactions efficiently in a busy environment.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office is advantageous.
Knowledge of UAE retail practices and payment procedures is advantageous.
