QA/QC Engineer - Mechanical

Sydney | Data Centre Projects An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced QA/QC Engineer to join a leading Tier 1 mechanical contractor working across major data centre projects in Sydney.

The business is heavily involved within the mission-critical sector and continues to grow its project pipeline across Sydney and nationally.

They are looking for someone with a robust understanding of mechanical/HVAC systems who can take ownership of quality across the project, working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Site Managers, subcontractors and commissioning teams.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing and maintaining QA/QC processes across the mechanical installation, ensuring works are completed in accordance with project specifications, relevant standards and client requirements.

This will be a site-focused position with significant interaction across the wider project delivery team.

Key Responsibilities
Manage QA/QC requirements across mechanical/HVAC installations
Develop and maintain ITPs, ITRs and quality documentation
Conduct site inspections and quality audits
Manage NCRs, defects and corrective actions
Ensure installations comply with project specifications and relevant standards




Coordinate quality requirements with subcontractors and project teams
Maintain quality records and project documentation
Support commissioning, completion and handover activities
Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers and Site Managers throughout delivery

About You
Previous QA/QC or Quality Engineering experience within construction
Strong mechanical/HVAC knowledge
Mechanical contractor experience highly regarded
Experience with ITPs, inspections, NCRs and quality documentation
Robust attention to detail and documentation skills
Confident working with site teams, subcontractors and clients
Data centre or mission-critical experience advantageous but not essential
Healthcare, pharmaceutical, clean room or other technically complex project experience also highly regarded
ISO 9001 experience advantageous
