Role DescriptionAn Associate Software Engineer supports the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications and systems. The role works with senior engineers, developers, product teams, and IT teams to deliver reliable and productive software solutions while developing technical skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications.
Translate technical and business requirements into software solutions.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code under technical guidance.
Develop new features and enhance existing applications.
Troubleshoot software defects, errors, and performance issues.
Participate in code reviews and follow software development standards.
Develop and integrate APIs, databases, and third-party services.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and debugging.
Collaborate with senior developers, product managers, designers, and IT teams.
Support software deployments, releases, upgrades, and production activities.
Maintain technical documentation and development records.
Assist with database management and data-related development tasks.
Monitor application performance and help resolve technical issues.
Learn and apply recent programming languages,
frameworks, and development tools.
Contribute to process improvements, automation, and software quality initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Entry-level or relevant experience in software development is preferred.
Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar.
Basic understanding of web applications, APIs, databases, and software development frameworks.
Knowledge of SQL and relational or NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with Git and version-control practices.
Understanding of software development lifecycle and testing principles.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is advantageous.
Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
Valuable attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work under guidance while gradually taking responsibility for assigned tasks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant development tools.
