About the role

We are looking for an experienced Concrete Leading Hand / Foreman to lead a crew of 4 men carrying out subdivision-style concrete works.

The work is based primarily in Ipswich and surrounding areas, with various projects across the region.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can confidently manage a crew, keep the team organised and drive production to achieve daily targets while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.

Key responsibilities
Lead and coordinate a crew of 4 concrete workers
Set out works accurately from plans and site information
Read and interpret construction plans
Organise the crew and allocate tasks throughout the day
Drive the team to achieve daily production targets
Ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
Footpath installation
Crossover installation
Pram ramp installation
Lintel installation and lintel tie-ins
Coordinate with other trades and site personnel where required
Maintain a secure, clean and organised worksite

About you

We are looking for someone who:




Has solid experience in concrete construction and subdivision-style works
Has previous experience as a Leading Hand, Foreman or senior concrete worker
Is confident leading and pushing a team to get the job done
Has a robust work ethic and a can-do attitude
Is punctual, reliable and takes pride in their work
Can set out works accurately and confidently read plans
Can work independently and make decisions on site
Understands the importance of productivity, quality and safety
Leads by example and isn’t afraid to get hands-on when required
Can communicate clearly with the crew and keep everyone working towards the daily target

The right person

We’re looking for more than someone who can pour concrete. You need to be able to take charge of a crew, organise the day’s work, keep the boys moving and make sure the job gets done.
