As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Operations Assistant to join our team and contribute to the overall success of our company.
The Role:
The Senior Operations Assistant is an integral part of our head office team and will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of the business.
This position is the right-hand to the National Operations Manager and involves a diverse range of responsibilities that change and evolve through the agricultural seasons.
The Senior Operations Assistant will work collaboratively with cross-functional and cross-regional teams to ensure efficient distribution of inventory across all business units.
This role would best suit a motivated and engaged person who is looking for long term growth opportunities and development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management:
Manage chemical inventory for business units across 5 states - including purchase orders, scheduling deliveries, weekly stocktakes and monthly reconciliations
Support Team Leaders of each business unit with correct inventory volume and location
Procure parts as required and manage stock levels for workshop/maintenance business units
Data entry into seasonal spreadsheets to ensure efficient information flow
2. Scheduling Assistance
Assist National Operations Manager with scheduling tasks as required
Process daily job sheets
Other admin tasks as required
Qualifications & Experience:
Proven experience in a similar role, with demonstrated familiarity with logistical scheduling
Intermediate to Advanced experience in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Proficiency in account software (Xero) desirable though not essential
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage, inform, educate and support suppliers, customers, staff and managers alike
Broad and flexible interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and geographically dispersed environment
Familiarity with the agricultural industry or related sectors is desirable but not essential
Candidate Requisites:
Currently living in Western Australia with a pre-existing right to work
Availability to work exclusively on-site
