About the Role
We are looking for aMerchant Onboarding Associateto join our Melbourne team and support merchant activation across Australia.
As thededicated Merchant Onboarding team member in Melbourne, you will take ownership of onboarding cases and work closely withBusiness Development, Compliance, and HQ Operationsto ensure merchants progress from signed agreement through to successful activation.
You will coordinate across internal teams, review onboarding and KYC documentation, identify outstanding requirements, manage onboarding pipelines, and ensure cases are progressed accurately and within SLA.
This role is ideal for someone who ishighly-organised, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable taking ownershipin a fast-paced fintech environment.
What You'll Do
Manage theend-to-end merchant onboarding processfrom signed agreement to activation
Review and validateKYC and onboarding documentationfor completeness and accuracy
Identify missing or incorrect information and coordinate withBusiness Developmentto resolve outstanding requirements
Work closely withBusiness Development, Compliance, and HQ Operationsto progress merchant applications efficiently
Act as the keyonboarding point of contact for internal teamsin Melbourne
Ensure onboarding activities meetcompliance requirements, internal procedures, and SLAs
Maintain accurate merchant information acrossCRM and onboarding systems




Monitor onboarding pipelines and proactively follow up with internal stakeholders on outstanding cases
Manage multiple merchant applications while maintaining ahigh level of accuracy and turnaround time
Support onboarding reporting and identify opportunities to improveinternal processes and onboarding efficiency
What We're Looking For
0–2 years of experiencein onboarding, operations, KYC/AML, sales support, banking, fintech, client services, or a similar environment
Fresh graduates are welcometo apply
Strongattention to detailand ability to review documentation accurately
Solid organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
Comfortable working across different teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders
Proactive and accountable, with the confidence totake ownership of cases from start to completion
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable working in afast-paced, high-volume operational environment
Able to work independently while collaborating closely with local and regional teams
Nice to Have
Exposure toKYC / AML / compliance processes
Experience infintech, payments, banking, SaaS, or financial services
Familiarity with CRM, onboarding, or workflow management systems
Experience working in an operations or sales-support environment
