As Facilities Support Officer, you'll play a hands-on role supporting the presentation, maintenance and day-to-day operation of Council's Administrative Centre and Main Works Depot.

LET'S EXPLORE THE JOB
In this role, you'll support a wide range of property related activities that help keep Council's facilities professionally presented, safe and welcoming.
Working across the Administrative Centre and Main Works Depot, you'll assist with daily operations, coordinate maintenance activities and respond to reactive works so our workplaces remain clean, secure and fit for purpose.
This is a role where strong time management and explicit communication will make a real difference.
You'll be balancing planned maintenance with reactive work, managing multiple priorities across busy sites and making sure requests are followed through to completion.
Whether you're working with contractors, responding to facility issues or keeping stakeholders informed, you'll help close the loop, so people know what's happening and our facilities continue to operate smoothly.
Our ideal candidate is organised, practical and approachable, with the confidence to work across multiple sites and balance competing priorities.
You'll be comfortable working with contractors and internal stakeholders, proactive in spotting and resolving facility issues and committed to delivering safe,
well-presented spaces for staff, councillors and the public.
You'll also meet the following criteria:
Certificate IV in Property Services, Facilities Management or equivalent experience
Experience coordinating multi-trade maintenance (painting, minor electrical/mechanical, plumbing, furniture moves) in occupied facilities
Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated, reliable and able to work with minimum supervision
Intermediate or higher computer literacy, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and technologies
Current Class C Drivers Licence
